5. The New King of Far Far Away: Shrek the Third (Nintendo DS)

 

SOMEbody once sold me a bunch of DS oldies
A few of which did cause me some dread
But as such a frugal sum wouldn’t hurt my net income
I bought this bad Shrek game like a block-head

When, the movies were coming and they didn’t stop coming
The first two flicks were inoffensive and funny
Yet the third one didn’t look too fun
So I went to see Transformers 1

Activision, they got Shrek 3
And then gave they the job to VV*
A DS and Gameboy combo
For movie games ends up in woe

Hey, now, it’s a Shrek game, put the card in, and play
Hey, now, it’s a bad game, but just 5 bucks, you paid
No wonder that we’ve been told
Movie tie-ins are no longer sold

With a licence you’ll make a platformer
And on the DS a gimmick extoller
And it’s hard to ever make a winner
When weird controls are made to be a pillar

And in this game the reasoning is thin
Blow into the mic because Artie can’t swim
And puss in boots? Fights with a sword
 He jumps with the stylus and that should be abhorred

In this game you are tasked to platform but alas
The design is close to being a disgrace
Even Shrek, has no depth
With only two moves under his belt
Shows how there’s only a little range
